Was offered a $40K allocation for a 2023 Turbo at a Porsche dealership in Southern California in December 2022.

The same dealership also had a 2022 992 GTS Touring on the showroom floor….that had a $125K ADM fee!

I declined interest in the 992 turbo…and expressed my disappointment and opinion to the sales team on the excessive ADM fee.

I got my '21 Turbo with no ADM, and I believe several others on Carpokes have gotten turbos with no ADM more recently. And no way $125k ADM is market for a '22 GTS -- that's more than the going rates for a GT4RS and GT3. Maybe there are enough wealthy people in SoCal who don't care, allowing the dealer to get away with that -- or they occasionally get someone to pay whatever they ask -- or they had very few allocations and intended to sell them to the highest bidder -- but I'm sure you can do much better if you expand your search. Just don't look at Redwood City Porsche. They are playing to the same audience (but at least this is a 911 Turbo Sport Classic -- which is in very high demand).

Others like @wdr911 are more knowledgeable for sure, but it's my foggy understanding that the allocations come out quarterly, more or less.

Concur w/Tom. '22 Turbo S. No ADM. Loyalty to the dealer and vice versa goes a very long way. Relationships.

The $125K ADM for a ‘22 GT3 Touring was off the charts. It was just posted on the car in the showroom. Insulting really.

Started out casually looking for a 992 Turbo about 9 months ago (at that time, allocation fees at the SoCal dealership were $75K — but “dropped” to $40K in Dec 2022). I refused to pay that amount…and instead decided to look for a 991.2 Turbo S (and found it at a different dealership located further away — 50 miles further south). Might even drive 50 miles further south for scheduled service on 2 Porsche cars (versus taking it to the dealership who is located closer but thought high allocation and ADM fees was a good idea to loyal customers!

I drive past 3 or 4 dealers to get to Fremont Porsche. Their service department is significantly better than most, and the sales guys are not looking to take advantage of people.

What you've described certainly seems over the top. I support the notion of supply and demand - without demand, there will be no incentive to supply - but what you experienced is beyond that notion, especially for a good, well-known customer. This will likely come back to haunt the dealer if they're treating all of their clients in the same manner.

Glad that you found your 991.2 TTS. That extra 50 mile drive might eventually do a lot more for both you and the dealer.

Lol! I hadn’t mapped that out before — but it seems I will be passing by 5 other Porsche dealerships when driving 50 miles further south!

I got my 2023 992 GTS with no ADM. Waited a long time and have good purchase history with them.
