Somewhat randomly in response to all the cool stuff you posted:
This trip down memory lane to regurgitate the entire ownership experience all at once was definitely a different perspective for me - even if it was the Cliff's Notes. I bet that's roughly what it feels like to add up all the receipts.. just have to remind myself that some people buy new cars.. I've never done that, but I understand it to be far more expensive (if it's not, don't tell me - I need this justification!)

I agree the Fuchs look best, of the ones you've posted so far.
Great minds..

I'm hopeful the wheels I'm grabbing this weekend will live up to the Fuchs. We'll see. For some reason, I have a terrible time imagining what wheels will look like on a car - every time I look at those twists in the corner of the garage, I think "those look great!" but the second I put them on the car, they're "fine" and I want the Fuchs back.

That turbo is huge. Have you dyno'd with it? Joshua apparently moved on to other things, but I still see @Blown 944 banging gears on the quarter mile on FB. No surprise he'd set you up with a turbo off a ProStock Tractor.
It is rather large.. Performance-wise, it should be the rough equivalent of a GT30R but at a fraction of the cost and super reliable... but also, physically, much larger. If I recall correctly Sid had an HX40 cold side on his 951.. I have no idea how he fit that. I'm glad to hear he's still drag racing! I met up with Joshua a couple years ago when I wound up in his neck of the woods on work and, yes, he's mostly moved on but he's doing cool stuff!
I haven't dyno'd with this turbo yet, but I will when tuning the VEMS - care to venture a guess? I'm being intentionally pessimistic and am "expecting" 325hp. I plan to run around 20psi..

Assuming your VEMS is plug and play for the stock harness, you could do no better then Kroon....
The VEMS is "plug and play" but that term doesn't quite mean what I would have expected.. It does plug in to the factory harness, but you have to modify the harness a little. Mostly just cut off the AFM plug and wire up an IAT in its place. The real reasons I'm hesitant on the Kroon are, first, I've already replaced the entire harness with the Lindsey Racing patch pieces. The Kroon is much much much prettier, but I've already seen to the functional aspect, it's just not anywhere near as pretty. Secondly, I'm not 100% convinced the VEMS is the way to go. I mean, if it works, it works but, at this point, I'm not entirely convinced.

I discovered that 5mm brass tubing can be heated and bent to make that a low-profile evap fitting under the throttle body.

This is a great idea! In retrospect, I have actually deleted the evap system, so I should probably just tap the hole for a 5mm grub screw or something similar to plug the hole. Maybe I'll do that next time I have access to the underside..

For the link in your signature, if you add "#start_here" at the end of the URL, the thread will start at the top of the page and not get buried under the header and banner ad space.... Like this:

Fantastic! Thanks for the tip!!
