On a related note. Can anyone confirm exactly how the DME is mounted to the metal frame? When I just pulled my DME to install the F9T DME w/OBD+ my DME was only attached with one speed nut and screw, plus one other screw that also secured the bracket for the alarm. The PET shows there should be four speed nuts and screws. I know the DME has been pulled a couple of times to change chips when my son had the car, so I suspect it never got put back together correctly. Thanks for any info. BTW, I'm also going to order these plastic push buttons, as Porsche calls them, just in case I ever lose or damage one.

Here is a pic I took of a virgin DME/KLR, mounted into their frame.

I always wondered why they made the harness so long under there, especially the KLR harness that seems to be a foot longer than needed..... It's like they know people would drive around with those boxes sitting where your feet should be....Doyle623 wrote: Fri Jul 29, 2022 2:31 pm Here is a pic I took of a virgin DME/KLR, mounted into their frame.

I agree...then add in piggyback wiring, etc, and it becomes real fun to jam in there!

Going standalone really reduces the amount of congestion there!

It clearly falls into the 2S category as it has both "masculine and feminine spirit."Tom wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 10:07 pmI think the gender terminology is causing issues with this part. It's not clearly one or the other I'd say....Latitude48 wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 4:18 pm Isn't the OP looking for item #33, which is the female piece (sleeve) requested? #32 appears to be a male push-pin. #33 is 944 551 437 00.![]()
