Carpokes got mentioned in this book
After finding out this book is AI and even though all the info is there this kind of pissed me off so much I went to Amazon to return it. I told them the reason was because it’s an AI book. I got my refund and it told me to keep the book. Lol. I’m so sick of AI.

Quite sad. ISBN as well as retailers such as Amazon need to verify them as such with prominent disclaimers if not outright banning or otherwise restricting distribution in some cases. The fact that the publisher of the book by the phony author "Hans Vogel" was listed as "Publisher: Independently published" was a clue that I missed.
It seems like borderline if not outright plagiarism.
On a related note, this from the WSJ shows that similar book trends are apparently going ahead full steam, taking on many forms.

When I was going through the return process on Amazon I noticed there is the same book for every kind of Porsche along with other types of cars. I left my 1 star review and wrote it was an AI book. Amazon gave me my money back and just said keep the book. Lol

As rare books are being sliced up then maybe "books" "authored" by AI should be burnt right away. That AI junk should in no way be allowed into the real, physical, only world.

You can bet they'll proliferate no matter what we think. Same for music, video content, imagery, etc.Thom wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2026 9:25 am As rare books are being sliced up then maybe "books" "authored" by AI should be burnt right away. It would help a bit if identified as such but the irony (and huge concern) is that it will take AI to identify AI, kind of like good and bad antibodies fighting each other.

I'm curious how many decades and millions of dead it will take for mankind to understand that AI is the final nail in the coffin of civilisation.
