I assume the intake needs to be removed to get this vacuum line off? I found one line with a crack in it and this one is super loose at the connector, and car ran when sprayed in this area. So I assume this is my no idle issue. Looks like I have a small job ahead. Any chance these replacement hoses can be sourced at my local parts store? If not, what’s my best option for sourcing in southern Ontario? Or should I just get regular hose and risk bending and pinching the lines? Thanks in advance.

There are several molded hoses below the manifold that will likely need replacement. Local availability chances will be none and generic hose will not work well if at all. 944 online offers a nice silicone hose replacement kit for all the idle air and aos hoses on an early car.

Yeah, you really want the correctly molded hoses. Generic auto parts hoses aren't going to be a good option. You might check your local dealer for the original parts too. Hard to do better than factory originals and, give current shipping costs to Canada (!), it might make buying the originals locally more attractive.

Got the intake off this evening. Looks like I’ve got 4 hoses that need to be replaced. Hopefully they’re still available.

Hose that comes off the side of the intake is also damaged, (near where dipstick mounts) but I think I can replace this with a generic line. All the smaller lines seem in tact. Just the formed ones are the buggered ones.

Unfortunately the one they're out of stock and shipping to Canada is about $75.

Check Lindsey racing. I believe that's where I purchased mine about a year ago.

Do you know Tim? All us Canadians buy our parts from him. He is Montreal based and can sort you out. Search Timothy Von Roretz on Facebook. He is a great guy.

I’m new to the 944 but have heard there’s a guy in Montreal area dealing with Porsche stuff. I’ll have to look him up. Thanks.
