Aftermarket AutoLock Door Locks - side marker trigger and using the central lock switch

Howdy all...

I'm in the middle of adding aftermarket, AutoLock, auto door locks. Not exactly a fun project. I have a couple of questions.

I'm curious whether anyone has tied the sidemarkers to a trigger signal via a relay so they flash when a door is locked or unlocked? My setup has a trigger wire, and I'm trying to figure out where to tie in to the sidemarker lights. I'm considering pulling the light switch and tapping the Left and Right side wires. I'm a bit nervous considering their age.

Has anyone tied into the harness and used a stock central door lock switch to trigger an aftermarket setup? If so, I'd appreciate a how-to.

I've noticed under the shifter console a number of empty switches. Can someone tell me which one was for the central lock switch? I know they're numbered, I just don't know which one was for the central locks[/list]
