I just installed the set of sikky phenolic gaskets on my car to try them out.
I can now drive the car hard, open the hood and touch the intake manifold. It’s definitely not getting nearly as hot as it was with the regular gaskets. I was pretty amazed.
I don’t know if there’s really a big air intake temp difference but the fact I can just touch the intake manifold and it’s not hot to me seamed like a good enough benefit considering the manual boost controller the car has is near the intake manifold.
Temperature reducing intake manifold gaskets. Worth the upgrade?
Thanks for sharing... Interesting the level of heat transfer reduction to the intake - that is surely the goal. As Michael mentioned, it's all the small, additive mods that sum to a notable increase.MoeMonney wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 5:26 am Mi just installed the set of sikky phenolic gaskets on my car to try them out.
