I recently did a full repaint on one of my 944s and every piece of weather strip for the doors was a week away after I placed my order. This included some of those bump rubbers for the hood and even the plastic water shield behind the door panel. Not one of the parts was produced before 2017 by the marked manufacture date and the cost for it all was about $1300. Show me any manufacturer that has that type of support for a nearly 40 year old car.
Agreed. Over the last couple of years I purchased rubber moldings/seals for my 968 mirrors and door handles, door seal weatherstrip on door, door seal on body, window lower inner and outer belt weather strip, black aluminum trim frames, quarter window glass seals and aluminum trim frames, sunroof seal, rear hatch seal, sealing ring for rear hatch key, and even the little tiny rubber drain grommet for the gas filler drain, which got pushed into never-never land. I was pleasantly surprised it was all available. A couple of the items have a PCG part number. Total cost about $1900 including a new Porsche Crest lid emblem.
