Those 996TT front calipers are tempting---does anyone here know if these fit under any 17" wheels, or are 18" wheels 100% necessary?

Thanks for the info, though there's always a possibility they may need refurbing. Which is something I could do to my original late turbo calipers I suppose. Do you know if the big red copies Lindsey sell are any good? I'm already running 18" Gemballa wheels.ealoken wrote: Mon Jun 05, 2023 10:11 pmhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334900382910 ... media=COPY

Hello, I have never seen or tested the copies, if they don't leak or flex while braking they should be ok.blade7 wrote: Tue Jun 06, 2023 3:11 amThanks for the info, though there's always a possibility they may need refurbing. But a used 996tt set of calipers are 500-1000$ used.
The calipers are likely Chinese-made Brembo replicas, often sold under brands like MEAT or JMP. Just confirm piston sizes match (usually 36/40mm). Cayenne discs are 330x32mm, so double-check rotor compatibility.
IMHO I would stick with Brembos and stay away from the Chinese made ones. 996/997 calipers are abundant, cheap, and very easy to rebuild if necessary.
