Gorgeous! Those guys in Stuttgart, 2 generations ago, had no idea this car would be loved so much nearly 40 years later. Beautiful!

Looks great! A car that will draw many eyes on the road I am sure!

The car looks great! My Nautic was resprayed 5 years ago, and I bought all new factory seals as well. The grayish stuff is still on the door seals, and the seams are exposed on the A pillars. I have sent them back a couple of times hoping to at least get a set with the seam inside the door jamb. Honestly, I have been disappointed with the factory seals. Not sure there is an alternative.

I really appreciate the input! Although - I'm also disappointed to hear your factory seals have the waxy color after FIVE YEARS! Yikes. I put Uro door seals on my S and they did not have that waxy color to them. However, the fitment was a little iffy. They were 100% black though and honestly I think look better than OEM at this point.Cruise98 wrote: Mon Jun 24, 2024 10:43 am The car looks great! Wonderful project to improve your car's integrity and appearance. Did you ever consider deleting the red sidemarker lenses on the rear fenders? I'd love to do that on my car, including the orange ones on the front spoiler. The ROW cars look better w/o these additions.

I had thought about it, but it didn't make sense for the additional cost and time. I have a friend in the area with a German spec, black 86 turbo and it looks very clean without those side markers/lights. Ron did "shave" the front license plate holes in the bumper, though.chrischrischris wrote: Mon Aug 18, 2025 11:14 am Wonderful project to improve your car's integrity and appearance. The extra lock cylinder for the alarm is a quirky feature, but doesn't contribute to the overall aesthetic. I'd be tempted to delete that if I were undertaking a big respray and body restoration

I thought about that too, but it's so deliciously 80's, it's a great conversation piece - especially with the younger crowd. They love the mini flashlight on the key as well.chrischrischris wrote: Tue Aug 19, 2025 9:01 am The extra lock cylinder for the alarm is a quirky feature, but doesn't contribute to the overall aesthetic. That NC944ER dude actually got his alarm working and repinned the cylinder to work with the ignition key. Pretty impressive.
