Been looking at exhaust options and want to know what everyone's experience with the Lindsey Racing 3 inch system has been? To me it seems the LR base exhaust system is significantly cheaper but the base option doesnt include a muffler or downpipe or tips and once you start adding on the muffler, downpipe and tips options its only a few hundred cheaper than the Full stainless Fabspeed Turbo back system that includes all of that and if you add the ceramic coat option its only a couple hundred cheaper. To me on paper at least it would seem the LR system is overpriced for what it is or am I just missing something?

I cannot comment on the price since I bought a full LR 3" exhaust almost 15 years ago but it is still on the car and it has proven durable and held up well in all elements all year long.

Im kind of under the impression that their system used to be a much better deal for the price but they raised the prices significantly at some point and now its no longer as much of a bargain deal as it once was. The reason I say that is because they dont appear to have updated their web site, on their info page for the exhaust system they say the thermal coat option is an extra $250 but if you go to actually add it on as an option the price is double that at $450.

Just went through this recently. I don’t remember the specifics but I went with LR as I found it considerably cheaper. I went with downpipe all the way to tip. Did not get the coating but even with that it would have been cheaper than anything else. Everything went together with minimal fuss. Overall I’m happy with it. In my opinion the reason to go with Fabspeed is for their 200 cell cat. That being said, I’ve never come across a comparison on a dyno for our cars between a 200 cell cat and a 400 cell cat which I believe is what the Magnaflow cat is. I’d be interested to see one.

Yeah its still cheaper, but only about $400-$500 without the ceramic option, with that little of a difference i think id rather just go with the stainless steel option

I was so close to a LR 3" but wound up ordering the 4" then cancelled it because I felt it would be too much. Ordered the Fabspeed and downpipe with 200 cel sport cat. In this video just shot yesterday, I think it sounds pretty good. Every time it's on the lift I like looking at it. Keep in mind I also have a SFR stage 2 header and crossover.

@Jotronic, thanks for the video! At some point I'll need to replace my exhaust and I keep looking for videos with different exhaust systems for a sound byte for comparison.
