Hi guys,

when pressing my cluth all the way down there is a sound like a sheet of metal is getting a small dent and when releasing the cluth the dent removes itself. I guess thats my heat shield.
Is there any way to change or fix the heatshield without removbing the engine? It's a 944S 1987.

Cheers,
Torben

What heat shield are you thinking about? Are you sure it's not a cracked or buckling firewall? That's the first thing that comes to mind if you are getting on oil-can noise when depressing and releasing the clutch. It's common enough that you can get braces and reinforcement plates for the firewall....

Hi Tom, thanks for your fast reply. I guess thats it - the firewall. The second links looks good, thanks!
The instrucion is awsome, haven't found a way to mount it without removing the engine. Thanks a lot!
