I'm much lazier than you, and was gullible enough to listen to the seller who swore it would smooth out after broken in. It didn't!

Thanks all for your feedback on Spec clutches. I was already looking into some of these in case my issue was deeper than reported but I'm glad I don't seem to have to go further (touch wood again with 4 leaf clovers all over the place and praying the clutch gods).

After further thinking I do believe that the issue was caused nothing more by not loosening the rod after fitting the strut tower reinforcement.
I'm so so glad I can enjoy my 944t to its fullest again. I just can't live anymore without experiencing traction loss at 100 mph every once in a while.

Perfect. If it wouldn't make you nervous a little then what's the point of such projects. Flooring it at "high" speed on slippery roads takes some confidence but with a talkative chassis and big brakes it is impossible not to want to keep trying and enjoy the adrenalin rush. It never rains in Straya so what are you worried about anyway

Haha true and when it rains the cars stays inside. The problem here is the oil on the road builds up so much when it's dry, the road turns to ice even on light rain.

I'm sure between the LSD and the traction control I should be ok.

 Well yes, there's that. However your car didn't require rain to spin the rears up at about 100mph!
