Welcome to Carpokes Ross !Rosscer wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 12:38 pm Hey All, just registered, hopefully to find some guidance and useful information for my 944 refurbishment project. The car had been sitting out for 12 years in a yard and needs quite a bit of work. Lots to do, but I'm happy have to a project car to work on sitting outside the house! I've been a fan of the 944 for quite a while and had a Track Experience in a Porsche Booster a while back. Fastest I've ever driven!

Welcome aboard Ross! Sounds like a fun project. Post some pics so we can see what you are up against. Be sure to look at the 924/044/968 posts as well as the other Transaxle groups. You will find several members in the same situation as you in that they just bought a 944 that has been dormant for several years. You are not alone here. Have fun.

Just joined. Carpokes, looks interesting. Hi everyone, my name is Nancy, I have a 2018 Boxster, my husband has a 2014 911. Quick question, has anyone else had problems with the fuel gauge dropping to empty. And what did you do about it?

Welcome to Carpokes Nancy.
Which car is giving you this issue?
If you would like to post photos of your cars, here are the instructions:

Welcome to Carpokes!
I don't have a ready answer to your question nor have I had any issues with Porsche fuel gauges. However, others here should have some ideas.
I will add that the first thing that I would consider is either a bad sending unit or a bad ground.
It probably would help to have more info. As P_Coastal mentioned, which car? Also, how does the gauge behave? Is it persistently stuck at empty no matter how much fuel is in the tank? Or does it show a level and then drop? Those kinds of symptomatic cues might help others diagnose the issue.
