Glad you got it going! And appreciate the update! Always frustrating to find your exact problem on a forum but never get the solution.J4yDubs wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 11:26 am Just a quick update. I finally had time to get it up on stands and change out the fuel pump. What a PITA, but got the new one in. She starts and run perfectly now so my guess at the fuel pump was correct. Thank God. Old pump has a electrical burn next to one of the terminals.
Now my fuel gauge is showing empty. I know there's at least half a tank, probably more. I'm thinking it must have gotten stuck when I had the front end up in the air. Once it stops raining I'll have to take it for a quick drive and see if it starts working. If not, that will be my next project...

Thanks. I haven't taken it out yet, but I did bang on the gas level sending unit a little and now it's reading gas. I think it's reading low, but I won't know until I try to fill her up.
So, if you jack up the front and your gas guage reads empty, try smacking the sending unit (under the front hood near the relays) and see if that clears it up. I kinda feel like Fronzie.
