It's an older issue that most would figure out before doing any damage, but some already have had problems and going forward others might get tripped up if not paying close attention, so I think you're correct that it would be good to post something. It would be another source as a heads-up reference.
I suppose that's even more true considering the increasing number of subsequent owners of 4.0 718s and the fact that many of the '21s are already or soon to be out of warranty. If someone got fooled by the faulty owners manual, it could make for a bad day for them.

Carbon, Illuminated Door Sills, to replace my stainless illuminated sills to better match the rest of my interior. 
There are two plugs that you obviously need to unplug, and Porsche kindly only gives you 0.0001mm of slack, so I had to contort my arms in some bizarre manner to be able to unplug them.
