Wondering if someone that has been involved in the game longer than me can help identifying what these wheels might be . Originally had thought maybe Bw motorsport but I can't find anything on them doing 16" wheels along with the valve being a different execution. They are 16" and I believe 8 and 9 wide (yet to have the tyres removed to check)

Looking on the back side it states on one of the spokes that the wheel is made in Japan.
On the same picture there appears to be a sticker on the barrel with what might be a faded name on it.
Might be a small company in Japan doing 3.6 Turbo copies but I've never seen that design in 16" before.
Tramont (French) and RH Alurad (German I believe) make copies but are generally marked and usually in 18",

Yea it appears there were 2 stickers on each wheel that are well past legible states . From what I understand bw motorsport had their centers manufactured in Japan , hence the original suspicion. Can't seem to find much else online regarding Japan made 3.6 wheels . Seems like a very peculiar one indeed.ROB III wrote: Wed Nov 01, 2023 5:57 pm Looking on the back side it states on one of the spokes that the wheel is made in Japan.

They look like BW Motorsport faces, which used Kinesis barrels and lips.
I really like them but getting them redone in 17" spec is costly.

That's what I thought , however there are multiple threads claiming that wheel with completely different designs around the back pad. Surely BW didn't run multiple varying designs?stitch2k1 wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 5:08 pm They look like BW Motorsport faces, which used Kinesis barrels and lips.

No need to change them to 17" , half the bonus is they are 16".
17" is better than 16" -- You can't get anything wider than a 225/50R16 in a correct outside diameter.

I have a set of 17" but truly prefer the 16" for the vehicles intended use .stitch2k1 wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 7:29 pm 17" is better than 16" -- You can't get anything wider than a 225/50R16 in a correct outside diameter.
Tyres are obtainable in 245/45/16 9" wide rears and 225/50/16 8" wide fronts. Admittedly at a bit of a steep price but can be obtained.
The only thing in the US available is a Pirelli P0, and those are absolute garbage. Everything else is an explicit track tire, and isn't streetable.

Saw something on a 944 FB page, remembered your post here, so asked the OP what kind of wheels they were and he said brooksmotos_wheels.
I googled and got this ebay page
https://www.ebay.com/str/brooksmotoswheels
LOTS of familiar designs but COMPLETE SETS only at less than primary suppliers prices and there is a 17" set available that look like yours. But if you look at the info for the seller you get:

Seller: brooksmotos_wheels
so maybe a knockoff of the 3.6 Turbo Speedline design.

That may have been me! The 3.6 Turbo speedlines are A) Rare B) Insanely expensive and C) Very hard to get the correct offset for a 944. The brooksmotos wheels are cast and very heavy (so are real 3.6's) but you cannot beat the price for a set of "show" wheels. When I purchased mine, they only had silver or black available. I reached out to them and asked if they could do a matte grey and they had them to me in a month.ROB III wrote: Wed Mar 20, 2024 8:14 am Saw something on a 944 FB page, remembered your post here, so asked the OP what kind of wheels they were and he said brooksmotos_wheels.
