1986 911 Carrerra 3.2 Fuel Pressure Regulator Horizontal Nozzles Directional?

I have a new fuel pressure regulator for my 1986 911 Carrerra 3.2. Concerning the two horizontal nozzles/hookups on the regulator itself, are they any different? Can I get the horizontal nozzles hooked up backwards? I do not see any directional arrows on the old or new regulator.
