Here's the place to embed your track videos from in-car cameras, track-side videographers, drone footage - whatever you've been able to conjure up.

Don't be shy - just do it. (However, maybe edit/shorten them down a bit to a few good laps. More than a few minutes of raw unedited track footage can get tedious in a hurry. ) If you're creative, produce a short Oscar-worthy film with all the film language accoutrements! Hey, why not?

Edit: this topic is most definitely open for any and all "track" (aka auto sports) related videos so please post away. I repeat: Don't be shy!!

A couple of laps from different days at PTC (Polecat Training Center), a tight 2.1 mile, 19-turn course with 120' of elevation changes. It's a heck of a lot of fun but you are very busy - no time to relax. Plenty of off camber stuff to go along with the turns. Keeps you on your toes.

Fires do happen.

The clip is from 10-years ago at a Chin event at Rd Atlanta in the Z06 race car when the LS7 let go down the front straight. The fire blow-torched out the rear (oil on fire), visible in the right side mirror. Description given to me was that my car looked like the Fury on fire in "Christine", John Carpenter's 1983 movie that's become a cult classic. (It is a fun watch. )

Fortunately I had both under hood and in-cockpit (switched off) fire suppression that helped save the car from total destruction. Even so, the fire was still going but RA's Turn-12 fire truck was close by and they were there in mere seconds to finish the extinguishing chore. Great job from them! The engine bay was nicely toasted and the rear bumper fascia melted - a mess but the car was back on track in a few months with a new race-built high performance 638hp Golen engine.

A few holes here and there...a couple rather large.

Good save! Thanks for posting the laps.

You're AiM is (apparently) hooked up via CAN-BUS which is nice. AiM developed the Can-Bus protocol for GT3's, several other 911's and GT4 Club Sports but not for regular GT4's. Not much data to speak of for GT4's since it's just OBDII.

Blueline,

Have heard of Polecat from a couple of Mustang friends but had not seen a video of it before. It looks like a fun track and it appears fairly technical to go fast, which is what many of us like......the challenge is part of the excitement. The only thing I found confusing is where the guardrails were missing, as it looked like you could run off a few places and become a lumberjack -- cutting down trees with a Porsche buzzsaw!

There are a few places that might benefit from additional off-track protection. Then again, the terminal speeds are never very high there (similar to Barber) and the areas you are seeing are not where one with a bit of experience would have an off unless overdriving or doing something stupid, like going all out on a very wet, rainy surface. (The yellow Cat off to the right side on the final turn going onto the front straight in the May video was a bit of a concern, especially with wet grass, but it was not there for very long that day.)

It's a new facility stuck way out in the sticks and I love it. Improvements are ongoing. Great people there too. They have a dedicated training/driving school there using the old open-wheel Bertil Roos and Skip Barber cars that they purchased. I've never driven those cars but I bet it would be fun. Radicals and similar are quite at home at PTC.

And yes, it is most definitely a technical track - not much time to do anything but concentrate on the next turns!

Damn, that is something to look into, and I drove the Bertil Roos cars years back and they are fast enough for good fun and learning technique, though I would still prefer a door slammer or a Radical. Are they going to do Radicals also, or is that just on a wish list at present?

I don't know about PTC ever having their own Radicals but one of the instructors owns a couple that he drives on track there. He's quite fast. I've been on track with a few other Radicals and the like. They take well to Polecat as you might imagine they would.

Yeah the little Neon engine powered open wheelers are not blistering rides but I imagine they get around that tack fairly well. Good trainers as you mentioned - I think many of their students may be first timers and/or those wanting to learn car control (a very good thing to do, I might add). I think some Law Enforcement tactics/training are in the works too.

Always looking for a new track to try, and though this one is a long distance drive away, who knows, we may meet there sometime in the future.
