I am in the midst of the belt maintenance on my 86 951 and thought I would share some measurements on vane clearance between the vane and housing. I measured a new Porsche pump and using feeler gauges measured approximately 0.15 mm. I measured a new URO Parts pump and got 1 mm and measured a used (came off of my car) LASO and got 0.60 mm. I got the URO pump out of curiosity to the quality and compare to the Porsche. The vane clearance seems to be the biggest disconnect and I plan on contacting the URO Parts people to ask about the specs they are using. The castings between all 3 are very very close and in a couple locations, I think the URO had a better casting and machining. I plan to upload some pictures later.

Interesting post. URO parts frequently get bad reviews among the Mercedes and other European car crowds. I have seen that myself with some super cheap (poor quality) parts for my old Mercedes, also had some that are ok. Overall, they seem more likely than others to make low-cost, low-quality parts. I'll be pleasantly surprised if you get much tech info from URO, beyond customer service assurances, etc. The general consensus seems to be that LASO pumps are the best, or at least it was last time I checked, but taking the time to really compare the way you are, and sharing the results, helps everyone.
