Hey I'll slap a big ol Carpokes sticker across the windshield if it gets me onto the grass. Have not heard back from the Werks page at all.......

No Vols opinions Doc, although I do make sure I keep the peace with fellow Tennesseans since I have lived here a large part of my life. I'm kind of ambivalent to UT if truth be known.

I have to make an admission - I'm a U of Mich graduate. Twice. Not a lot of Big Ten fans down South.
Well said. It's all kidding around with friends. It's fun poking fun at other friends.

But U of Michigan? Do you guys have to wear Khaki pants like the coach? I bet you look good in the pants like Coach Jim 'Khakipants' Harbaugh?

Nonetheless, you have helped Tom get above 3000 members in a short time. Congrats to both of you.

I did watch Jim Harbaugh play several times back in the day when he was UofM's QB! And yes, I do own some khaki slacks but am not compelled to wear them on account of Coach Harbaugh. ;)

Regarding Carpokes growth, it's everyone here. The only one to single out is Tom. It was his idea and vison and his hard work that has made it a reality. And his mind! Oh my goodness - a walking encyclopedia!

I agree Tim but Tom owes some of it to you for your good organizational skills that keeps everyone in good spirits. I suspet that you also delete spam threads on a regular basis?

You should be in Amelia.

I am leaving in a week to join many other Porsche guys for a celebration of all Porsche models (700 cars are entered). It's always a big deal to me.

Driving up to Werks from Atlantic Beach next Friday. First time to attend. Not sure what to expect, but heard that once you're there/parked...you're in it for the day, since it's hard to extricate yourself from the sea of cars! Looking forward to the experience! Got my pass this week.

It’s actually easy enough to leave. We usually get there early and leave around 2pm to head home to Charleston. It’s very well organized. You’ll have a great time I’m sure.

I'll be there with my 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo.

I am still staying with a 356 guy, and those guys are not in a hurry to get anywhere.

Update on me: I'm volunteering to not pay $40 for spectator parking.

The corral closes the same day the judged field does, for whatever reason. Good to know for next year I guess.

Catch me at Radwood too.

No problem. They are plenty of people that park (for free) around this huge golf course.

Fair Warning: I've never seen anyone towed from here. I've seen towing away from spots marked by yellow police tape at other Amelia events. I saw them hook up and tow a Maserati from a police-marked zone. Be careful if the police mark it.

I know at the Monterey Werks, people park all over the surrounding neighborhoods and hike in. Some people were parking as far as a mile away... What's the weather report for Friday? It's pouring rain here in CA today....
