My salesman said that the factory says 1200 miles below 4000 Rpm on this car (my 2020 Carrera was 500 miles). He says they allow brief sessions over 4000 Rpm.

I am keeping it in that range since I need to become familiar with the power and the 4-wheel drive. I'll be careful to get heat in the engine before doing anything.

About those reviews of the TT & TTS ... from what you've posted so far, you are doing a great job. I'll try to join in if I have anything relevant to add. (edit: I just saw your reply on the other thread.)

Break-in (Porsche calls it "Running in the car" which is why one cannot find it in the Owner's Manual) is 1,875 miles (3,000km) at the aforementioned 4k rpm max. However, exceeding that a bit, especially after 500 or so miles, is fine as long as one uses common sense. (IE: hold off on launches.)

My door plate says 10/22 which is what they sent me on My Porsche as they said it was a 10-23-22 production date. It took almost 6 weeks to get here.

I sure agree on the break in period. I am going to keep it down on Rpm's as I don't know the feel of the 4-wheel car (first) or the feel of power (2nd).

Our temperatures here in the north Georgia area are ~60 degrees so the north mountains will be ~50 degrees. The tires are going to be below their best heat level.

It's a perfect time to ride around and feel the car. They also sell non-ethanol fuel up there. The engine (and fuel tank) will like pure 100% 93 octane gas.

I got some "real" gas today after the big car show this morning.

I drove up to the Gainsville, GA area of Lake Lanier. I made some pictures. The light wasn't perfect.




However, the driving was perfect. I got to stretch the enigine a bit more than in Atlanta traffic. I could feel the extra torque over my 2020 Porsche Carrera. I am still keeping the Rpm's on the safe side.

No one told me. Porsche has gone to UBS-C ports from UBS-B ports. No warning. My old stuff didn't work.

I ordered the newer UBS-C stuff from Amazon for same day delivery. My iPhone is called a Lightening port (no difference from before?).

The Porsche tech site didn't even know about the change. No one told me to order a new $10 cable.

I use my iPhone port to keep the phone charged. I also use Pandoro for streaming music. Just me. I pay Pandoro to stream my favorite songs with no commercials.

Interesting about the move to USB-C. My car has USB A, which are pretty much the universally accepted port for powering USB devices, etc. I guess C is way smaller so easier to package into the car. My new MacBook takes the C too, so maybe there's a move in that direction. You can get C to A adapters to use all your existing cables, but that's kind of clunky...

Fair warning. The car has a 225 MPH speedometer. It will do 94 Mph in top gear at 2,000 Rpm.

On the open road, the rear wing may go up automatically at around 120 Mph. It also has a front spoiler that may go lower at the same speed. It keeps the car settled down on the tires at those speeds. No one should try this on an open road with no one around.

My average gas mileage, according to the computer, is 20.2 Mpg.

I had an early Model 992. Built 12/19.

It was also not started with mid-year 992's. Porsche has always made mid-year changes since I can remember. No 993, 996, 997, 991, or 992 is ever the same thing by model. Porsche made changes on the assembly line as the model improved on the line.
