In addition to the ventilated seats (very nice, though I wish they got even cooler), I recommend the stainless (or Carbon if you're into that) illuminated door sill protectors. Very stylish and a really nice touch for not much cash. Additionally, though not really a Porsche option, I think a Viofo A129 Pro Duo Dashcam is essential. Captures 4K in the front and 1080P in the back so there's no "he said, he said." Saved me within my first 6 weeks as an idiot rear-ended me in the parking lot WHILE I WAS PARKED IN MY SLOT!! Sent the rear video to my insurance company and the offender's insurance paid the full cost And I almost forgot: clear side markers from Suncoast. $125 (which is pretty stupid), but they make the car look really nice.

My dealership is very stingy but they still gave me and installed the clear side markers for free. I would ask before buying them. I opted for the extended leather package. If I had to do it all over again, I’d also get the extended dash leather. The beautiful dash leather adjacent to the crappy plastic surrounding the sports chrono, center speaker and windshield vents doesn’t look great.

Ventilated seats and LCA are a must. You are in LA - so no real need for a heated steering wheel, but might be worth it if you intend to sell in the future.

Premium Package with LCA is key. LCA should be standard on these cars as a basic safety inclusion. Ventilated seats and heated steering wheel for sure. Porsche crests on the seats is a nice touch. Replacing the silver interior trim with the matching color on the body looks cool as well.

We got the ventilation option. My wife loves it. We chose Truffle brown leather interior as my wife said no to black and I must admit in our eyes and those of people who see it enriches the driving experience. I am on the forever waiting list for the 4.0 Cayman and will choose the truffle brown and ventilation option again. Question for all you folk: Although the wood option is available for 718 4 turbo can one get the wood option on the 4.0? Bill K

I don’t think truffle brown leather nor wood trim are options for the GTS 4.0.

I can't find it for the Cayman/718, where did you see it? The "build your own" configurator only lists either Espresso or Espresso/Cognac as full leather options. I know truffle brown is available on the 911's, and I love that color, but it has, to my knowledge, never been an option for the Boxster/Cayman line. The 987 did have an almost-orange leather called Terra cotta at one point, but not truffle brown. I suppose with Porsche Exclusive one could specify truffle and get it if price were no object.

The first Cayman I ever sat in has "cocoa" brown leather. As browns go, cocoa is my all time favorite. Haven't seen that one offered in a long time either. :(

I wish they offered full cognac - my favorite. I’ve always loved this classic Mercedes interior from the late 1960’s.
