Back to the Cobb - I would be very interested in one for my '21 GT4 which gets fairly regular track-day use. The extra power, if significant, would be nice. However, I wouldn't do it without the blessing of Porsche and the car's warranty, and I wouldn't want to do it if it risked the car's reliability and wonderfully consistent performance.
One way I remain in good stead with Porsche is to let my dealer do any upgrade installations (I purchase the parts separately), such as bits from DSC, Tarrett, AP Racing, etc. That way, they are involved in whatever is done and share in the process and responsibility. I let them do everything else too - way too many new tires (my dealer will beat or match anyone's price), the Cantrell bolt-in roll bar, the Schroth 6-pts, etc. that I had put in before even taking delivery almost 2-years ago. That dealership relationship is critical in my opinion for all facets of Porsche ownership. They tend to take care of good customers.
Other little things count with PCNA too such as following Porsche's recommended break-in period before putting the car on track. That goes a long way towards gaining their support should things go wrong. (I overheard the PCNA regional service director's conversation with my tech on a failed GT4 motor that Porsche replaced under wty. The owner apparently had the new motor back on track immediately after replacement - zero break-in - and posted it on social media somewhere. I have no idea who the GT4 owner is but someone at Porsche apparently saw the post. My gist of the conversation was that they were not at all happy about it and I would guess that any subsequent motor wty work might be problematic.)
The GT4 is a hoot on track as it is (it's probably the most fun car to drive anywhere that I've ever owned), so I'm fine, but any extra HP would be nice in the straights where many higher HP cars (there are tons these of those these days) make passing difficult unless they lift. I might be on their bumper elsewhere on track but a little more straight-line mph would be nice.

Just got this email from Rennlist: "More information will follow in the next few hours but the release is coming RIGHT NOW! We are resuming all sales correspondence with those that called with interest. Pro Tuning for the 4.0L will be released as well. All non-GT4 owners are going to get a HUGE bump because of various torque restrictions that are unlocked for the higher hp cars. Call now! AJ and Doug are waiting!

So..it would seem that Cobb has finally cleared the EPA hurdle and is selling the tune for the 4.0 cars. I looked at their website and yes, the GT4/GTS/Spyder 718 is now listed, $1550 shipped. Nice gains with 93 octane fuel, which thankfully is available in my area. Now to determine if it REALLY is approved/authorized by Porsche.
