My poll thing didn't work.
--Are you an ICE (internal combustion engine) guy?
--Are you an EV (Electrical vehicle) guy?
---Are you do you prefer a cold beer or a glass of good wine?
Simple questions?
I say ICE with a nice glass of Central Coast Pinot Noir--JMO.
Poll: Are you ICE or EV?

I’ll ICE as long as I can (sports cars). EV has a long way to go before the infrastructure is ready for the masses… so we’ll see.

ICE for the long haul but I admit EV has its place, but still a long way to go before they are practical and economical for the masses. I have a deposit on a Lucid Pure Air but it's mostly a lark right now. I'll probably take delivery and drive it a few weeks before selling it, unless lightening strikes and I fall in love with it.

EV has a huge infrastructure issue here in N. Georgia: There are very few of them. I have 220v in my garage (originally for an air compressor), but I am not moving out a Porsche 911 for an EV charging station.GT3Twenty10 wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 5:47 pm...I’ll ICE as long as I can (sports cars). It seems to me that EV charging stations should have been in place before EV cars/trucks were subsidized?

You don't really expect government to have enough sense to figure that out, do you?911R wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 12:00 pmEV has a huge infrastructure issue here in N. I agree. I am getting off topic. My son went to Alabama and has season tickets at Bama (after many years on the wait list). Some guys still can't get drive to Tuscaloosa and back home without stopping at least once to a charging station.
They rent a hunting camp with no hunting. It doesn't provide a charging station for former alumni in town for the weekend.
They never invite me to their parties.

A friend got a JuiceBox home charger for his EV. It's small, it just mounts on the wall in the garage and hooks up to household 240V service. No need to move anything out to make space.911R wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 12:00 pmEV has a huge infrastructure issue here in N. Georgia: There are very few of them.
