Do we know if this tank will fit a 968?

The Amazon listing says “ Porsche 944 Turbo 1986-1991” so I’m assuming no. Here’s the link for you to check it out.

I took it for a short drive last night and it seems to be doing better, but I’m not quite sure yet. I’ve been chasing the overheating for the better part of two years and it’s fairly intermittent. I just replaced the made in Brazil wahler unit for a Porsche OEM one and that seems to have helped the most so far.

yeah its a bummer how the cheap BorgWarner units wear the wahler branding on them.
Hope your cooling is fixed and you can enjoy the car soon!

I pulled the trigger and bought one. The tank is very nice and seems just as well built as the oem tank. The only strange thing is that the inside part closest the engine is a little lower level than the driver side. It doesn’t appear to be an issue at all. Here are two photos of the old one and new one (before topping up the coolant).

Looks great! I didn’t notice the lower level but I didn’t compare them side by side. I don’t think that will be an issue. Now get that wiper fluid tank replaced. Lol

It sure does make everything else look old and dingy now.
