Are the round, push pin clips that retain the upper edges of the rear hatch carpet supposed to be smooth or textured (faux carpet texture)? This question is 968 Club Sport specific as I am unsure if the CS’s were the same as other models in this regard.

Thank you!

The pet does not differentiate between CS and non-CS models for the carpet clips, though it does on other items. So even if they were originally smooth (I doubt it,) they were superseded by the textured ones.

Some colors are still available, others are not.

I bought some black ones and used modelling paint to change them to red. Painting also worked well on the sun-faded ones.

(I can look up the colour I used if anyone is interested. I'm sure I wrote it down somewhere.)

I checked both my CS and 951 and they are the same clips. I don't have any records of the clips in the CS being replaced, so I'd believe they are original.

Thanks all!

I’m going to order a set from this seller on eBay. Seems like they produce a lot of transaxle stuff.

Update: Avoid The Unobtainium at all costs! Their stuff is junk and the owner is a snake. I'm going through the credit card chargeback process as we speak.

I’m not sure but customer service responses were atrocious. As an example, he assured me that his carpet clips were an identical match to the Porsche version. Attached are two side by side pics. The Porsche version is on the left and his “identical” part is on the right.

When I asked for a refund and offered to send them back, his response was “have a nice day.”
