No personal experience with the 928, but most online sellers seem to say the 20-21 gear is the same when used on the 944 and 928. Odometergears.com says all US-spec 928's use 20-21, while non-US cars use a variety of other tooth counts.

I am new to 3D printing and in need of an odometer gear. I have an 8K resin printer and SUNLU ABS-Like Resin, will this combo. will this work for the odometer gear? what would be the best resin for car parts?

Thank you

Welcome to Carpokes! I looked at the specs on that resin and would suggest something with a higher heat deflection temperature. Cars get hot inside so you ideally want something that withstands 100c or better (like actual ABS). I use Formlabs Rigid 10k resin for these gears, which is probably overkill, and their Pro Grey resin for most other car parts. In the SUNLU catalog, I'd be tempted to try the high temp resin. The others all have pretty low temp tolerances, unless I missed one...

Has anyone seen a replacement gear for the gear that the odometer motor gear meshes with? My gear is missing a couple teeth (see picture). I have also sent a note to Larts Parts (Luis Artiga) about a “parts speedometer” that I could salvage the gear from.
Thanks,
Lee
You need at least one post on Carpokes to see and download files.

That one is on my list, but it may take me a while to get to it. My hope is to develop a set that works without knowing/caring whether your gauge originally had a 21 or 22 tooth gear.

Tom,
I had not given the 21 vs 22 teeth much thought with respect to the gear I need. But now see your point and possible affect on accuracy. I will let you know when I find a good used gear.
Thanks for the input.

Let me see if I have a spare. I just need one to model the CAD drawing.
