For reasons I don't fully understand, this forum platform uses its own "notification" system by default, rather than sending email alerts -- see the bell icon and "Notifications" on the right side of the black bar under the main Carpokes banner. It's a nice way to check on system alerts (replies, PMs, etc.) once you are logged on to Carpokes, but unless you log in and check your notifications, it does nothing to give you a heads-up when someone replies to a post, tags/mentions you in a post, sends a PM, etc. I've tried to change that default to emails to the extent possible, but it's been hit or miss....
So... if you want to make sure you'll get email alerts, go to your User Control Panel by clicking on your screen name at the far right of that black bar under the main Carpokes banner. Then go to Board Preferences>Edit Notification Options, and click on the boxes where you want email alerts. See example below, and note the red circles for the suggested email alerts. Be sure to hit SUBMIT after setting your preferences, or they won't be saved! Let me know if you have any questions or need help. Thanks!
