Now that I’m older I’m not doing this as often, I used to do it twice a year for both cars. These days maybe once a year.Bill in Bama wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 8:08 pm I've been known to take the wheels off my car for a good cleaning, but always managed to do the job without a wheel stand, in fact I've never even thought of such until seeing this post. I also find the older I get the less frequently I do this operation. But I clean them on the car while sitting on jy rolling stool which is much easier on the vack and knees.
Who else does this?

I always clean the barrels of the wheels- some easier than others. Whenever I rotate, I do a quick coat of wax on the barrels to keep things from sticking and making cleaning easier.

Do the RIGHT THING
It’s the first thing I look at now because of my current wheel. These get dirty like this after my first drive.

I think about this sometimes when contemplating a purchase, my preference is a fairly simple 5 spoke wheel like the Carrera classic wheel, but it's not available in 20" AFAIK, and the standard GTS wheel isn't too bad, but those 15 spoke, oh my!
